Growth Mindset vs.Fixed Mindset

Do you really need to be super intelligent or exceptionally brilliant to succeed in life? It’s true that youth and technological savvy are helpful, but not necessary. Each individual possesses a distinct set of qualities that make them special, and we all are unique individuals and every brain is brilliant in some way.

We all are born with different capabilities and different qualities and we all are unique individuals. With time we all realise that we have some qualities which are already existing and some can be developed with practice. We all have belief systems based on our thinking process habits and behavioural patterns.

As we grow up sometimes, we are very flexible, adaptable, and easy-going but sometimes we are very stubborn and uncontrollable and have the attitude of “I am always right” and that is how we define what is a growth mindset and what is a fixed mindset.

In our lives every moment we are testing our growth mindset and fixed mindset.

A growth mindset is a belief that there is a scope of growth in each moment and skills can be developed if they are practised however, a fixed mindset is where we are determined to think and behave in a very negative way and we do not leave any scope of improvement and where we think that this cannot be achieved.

Growth mindset people always have the tendency to look for a solution to every problem. They think that anything in everything is achievable and possible; if it is not, they do their best to resolve the issue. They are very positive in their approach, proactive, and try to find positivity in a negative situation.

Fixed mindset people always have the tendency to judge people, they notice all the shortcomings of other people and they think it can never be possible, so they leave the task as it is, basically they surrender or give up easily.

A person with a fixed mindset will not look in this way, he will see hard life all the time and will not see the opportunity arising in the next moment.

The moment I wake up I pay gratitude to the universe for giving me the opportunity to see the beautiful world once again and to have all the comfort in my life. I also pray to the universe to allow me to put in more and more effort on a daily basis even if I am feeling exhausted even if I am feeling tired or maybe I delay things, but I always want to move forward with a lot of determination.

My little 11 years old son with other boys are working on a project where are designing and making an F1 racing car, and for which they need funding the team of 5–6 all are in class six so as a parent we all could fund them and they can go ahead with the project but these little children they did not approach parent they approached corporate private institutions government institutions for their funding initially people liked their idea. their presentation style was excellent. If someone said no to the financing they didn’t lose hope they went to another corporate and got the funding so this is the growth mindset these guys were adamant that come what may they will generate the funding.

The fixed mindset of people who are blaming destiny for the current situation and hence they feel stressed, depressed and always keep cursing somebody or the other for their situation.

If you have a fixed mindset, you won’t be able to change your behaviour based on your mistakes; if you have a growth mindset, you’ll be able to change your behaviour based on your mistakes.

Whenever I say something, I always say it on the basis of my own experiences.

Why a growth mindset is necessary?

1- It opens doors to other professions. When you focus on the future rather than your failures, you have a growth mentality. If you already have knowledge and skills in another area and are looking to change careers, this may work to your advantage.

You are investing in your own success by taking the initiative to acquire knowledge and abilities.

2-Builds Resistance to Stress. For success as an entrepreneur, you need to have resilience, and the ability to bounce back from adversity. Your company will only succeed if you can keep going even when difficulties emerge.

3. It’s a Great Way to Stay Humble. Last but not least, if you have a growth attitude, you know there is always room for improvement and development. A growth mindset can help you maintain humility as an entrepreneur by reminding you that you can always get better at what you do.

By closing yourself off to new ideas and experiences, you risk falling behind in today’s fast-paced world.
