Noida Twin Towers Demolition

When I heard the signal that indicated the most magnificent twin towers in Noida were about to be changed into wreckage within a period of 15 seconds, my heart sank. However, the most disheartening part was the celebration with clapping from people in the crowd. That’s a terrible development.

Such a colossal structure so much created space available could have turned into something which could have benefited society.

Imagine we are a society bouncing back from one of the worst crises that we faced in the past, we are still not recovered fully from ie the Pandemic. what was the short supply due to which we had to lose our near and dear ones? hospital beds, oxygen cylinders, medical facilities, and labs. what did our children lose out on during the pandemic? classroom hours and physical interaction.

What would have changed if you had taken a different course of action?

The government should have taken full ownership of the structure. We all are well aware that there is a major flaw in our system that allowed the construction of those structures, they were illegal and didn’t meet the criteria at all, don’t give anything to the guys who would have built it, penalise them, put them behind bars and make sure that the punishment is exemplary and these people come to know about this but instead, the two lovely structures were bombed to rubble in a matter of seconds instead of being allowed to stand.

Really? This is how you wanted to punish them. Instead, occupy the halls of authority and do something which creates a healthy environment for the society. When you bring down the building, you are not just punishing yourself, but you are also imposing the punishment on society as a whole, and you are also creating negative repercussions for everyone. People are celebrating addictive activity, which is harmful to society;

Rather than tearing down unlawful buildings, legislation can be passed making them government property. By doing so corruption could be controlled, money can be saved, and trust in government can be restored to some degree when this is implemented.

You could have turned that into hospital beds, classrooms, student debate centres, could have turned that into large public libraries, warehouses, and parking lots, and you could have done so many more things.

It is estimated that it cost 18 crores of rupees to bring those towers down, and there would be a significant amount of money lost in the process of cleaning up the debris. Again, the costs to clean up the region will be extremely high; what a waste of everything!

Praise people like Ratan Tata for investing in creative enterprises. it’s a breath of fresh air for everybody. In my opinion, we would have voted differently, which would have allowed us to accomplish both of our goals — we could have punished the culprits, and we could have prevented the loss of the stunning structure!

Adapt your perspective. Today’s focus is on building, not destroying.

I rest my case!
